Our events space is perfect for a private buffet style wake where we can welcome groups of up to 50. For smaller groups our snug can work well.
If you would prefer a sit down meal our large private table seats up to 12 or the whole events space can be configured to seat 25-30.
We have an extensive buffet menu you can choose from for as little as £15 per head. You can tailor the selection to suit your group, from Hermit hand stretched pizza and skin on fries up to oak roast salmon with asparagus or rare roast beef with watercress and horseradish.

The Hermit menu is always prepared fresh on site, including our legendary hand stretched stone-baked pizzas made with our in house Hermit dough, alongside a range of delicious hot and cold buffets options.
Our buffet menu is designed to be vegetarian, vegan and gluten free friendly with a specific range of dishes to suit such diners in addition to vegan cheese options for all our pizzas.

“When I needed a venue for a surprise birthday lunch, I rang a few places in the area - I'm so glad we picked this one. Right from the start, the staff at the Hermit were helpful and accomodating. Their function room turned out to be the ideal venue for a group of about 20 family and friends on a Sunday lunchtime. The pub has been beautifully renovated, the choice of ales is excellent and food and service is superb. The Manager George and his team discreetly helped us pull off the surprise and seemed to enjoy it too! After a long walk over Ikley Moor, the birthday girls and all her guests had a wonderful afternoon at this pub. We can't wait to go back.”
